Lecturers of the Confucius Institute invite to Kedzierzyn-Koźle for tai-chi classes. The a far-eastern sport called “meditation in motion”.

– With calm music and delicate movements you can relax and calm down, “says Ye Fangzhou. – Tai-chi derives from kung fu, martial arts but nowadays it is a quiet sport that people practice to keep their body in good shape regardless of age. In China, in almost every park, you can see groups of seniors exercising.

Exercises are held every Thursday from 6pm to 7pm in urban sports and recreation center. Participation is free of charge.

The Mid-Autumn Festival (traditional Chinese: 中秋節; simplified Chinese: 中秋节; Vietnamese: tết Trung Thu) is a harvest festival celebrated by ethnic Chinese and Vietnamese people. The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with full moon at night, corresponding to late September to early October of the Gregorian calendar with full moon at night.

The National Day of the People’s Republic of China is a public holiday in the People’s Republic of China to celebrate the national day, and is celebrated annually on October 1.

The PRC was founded on September 21, 1949, with a ceremony celebrating the forming of the Central People’s Government taking place in Tiananmen Square on October 1 that year. The Central People’s Government passed the Resolution on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China on December 2, 1949, and declared that October 1 is the National Day.

The National Day marks the start of only one of the Golden Weeks in the PRC.
